Isolation, day 42

Most of us are very well prepared for this. Prepared to to live through this unprecedented lockdown most of us had never experienced before.

This tweet made me saw it from a different perspective, no doubt. First, because the USA will never cease to amaze me, and second because there has been and currently are people living in far worse conditions than our 1st world lockdown.

Still, I can’t help but feel a little tired. It seems Spain is aiming to start opening things up the first or second week of May. Although, as always, nobody knows anything and we can do nothing but wait.

πŸ• Homemade pizza

I was surprised to discover you don’t need a fancy oven or pizza stone to achieve a decent homemade pizza. I was also surprised to learn you don’t need to leave the dough resting for too long (I initially thought it was like half a day. Could still be true for high-quality pies).

Since I made the mistake of assembling the ingredients on a surface before attempting to move it to the final tray in the oven I had to improvise a calzone. A regular pie wouldn’t do, I couldn’t get it from the working surface to the tray without crumbling.

πŸ“Ί Pick of the week

I was blown away by an anime this week. Name’s Hoshiai no Sora (Stars Align). The absolutely stunning story, characters, music, animation…

Genre? Drama and sports. Get ready for the drama 😭 The show is raw, real and delivers quite some unexpected punches.

⚠️ One thing to know about is that it was meant to last twice the number of episodes. Sadly mid-production they were told to cut down. It looks like the director did not want or was able to re-do the story so it could be told in a 12-episode format. Thus, it ends quite abruptly. Just a heads up if you decide to give it a go.
