Pens and paper. I’m in trouble

Notepad and a fountain pen on a table

I’m in deep trouble. I have bought another fountain pen 😱

I already told you my new found love for these writing tools. Well, now I got another one 🙈

I used to laugh whenever I saw posts like this one I’m writing on Reddit. Every commenter would relate: once you get into this fountain pen world, there’s no going back.

I work with a laptop all day 👨🏻‍💻 However, I want to try a time management technique. That is using paper to write down tasks, to-dos and quick notes that don’t need sharing or long timekeeping.

Solution?

Buy another fountain pen 😂 A low-end pen for less than 20€ but with great reviews. A german LAMY Safari (M). It is not only nice looking but super smooth. I picked the M nib size for this very reason. It has a good feeling. How it slides on the paper, the ink flow. I am really happy with it 😍

Fountain pen

I currently own 3 (one for home, one for my gym bag and this new one for work).

Besides that, I also bought an inexpensive notepad 📕

See where this is going?

I can already distinguish and choose between nibs based on my personal taste,

What about paper?

For the last few months, I have also developed a preference for paper. I have tried several papers with my EF and M nibs. For this new fountain pen, I’ve chosen a 90gsm paper. I feel a thinner kind would be not the best choice. I guess you can never go wrong with thicker paper 🤷‍♂️

I am in trouble 🤦🏻‍♂️ I had never imagined myself being able to choose nibs, ink, and paper for my writing 🧐 I’m not a professional. I write for fun. Heck, I had never imagined I would be writing on paper again after finishing school 🏫

Send help.
