What a rollercoaster of a week!
🏢 ✈️ Work and travel
It started with having to firefight 👨🚒 at work with an issue that had me working overtime. Not a big deal, I just finished up early the next day.
I’m mostly tying loose ends before my upcoming major vacation (keep an eye out for a blog post about it next week). Also with the classes at the school and whatnot. A new student has joined, and we have a promotion test this Saturday. Busy all the way.
🥁 Band
I also had a rehearsal with the band, which was starting to sound very good up until the moment the drummer told us he was quitting. He was with us for like a month and felt “we were too good for him”. Which is definitely not true but I can understand people have different points of view. He wouldn’t see it any other way. A shame, really. Now back to searching for a drummer that fits our time schedules and our style. Not easy.
😋 Food
We could squeeze in some family time by going out for dinner to a Nepalese bar/restaurant close by. It’s not my first time in one of these and I gotta say I’m not a big fan. It’s not bad, it’s just not my cup of tea.
We had dumplings, which looked just like any other Asian (Chinese?) dumplings, you can see the influence. Then another sort of fried dumpling (not pictured) with potato and vegetables inside (curry-flavoured). As a main course, he had two different types of chicken and cooked vegetables. The famous “butter chicken” and a spicy (but not really) one. It was also quite expensive for what we ate. Ended up paying 70€ for 4 people and we had just water and one beer for drinking.
How was your week?
