Weeknote 15 (2022)

A door sign with the text saying: closed

The Rona got me ๐Ÿคง

Yep, I came down with COVID two weeks ago. Thankfully it could’ve been worse.

๐Ÿ‘ The best? Felt like the flu. One day of fever and then a runny nose. After a week I had almost no symptoms.

๐Ÿ‘Ž The worse? I temporarily lost the sense of smell, thus the taste. The food tasted all the same. I realized we take it for granted. It was interesting to see how my brain remembered the taste. Almost as if on the first bite I could taste it but then as I chewed the brain said: wait a minute, this tastes like nothing.
I realized there’s not much point in eating if you can’t taste it. Ok, you gotta eat your nutrients to survive but it sucked all the fun out of it.

In Spain, you do not have to quarantine anymore if you get infected ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Regardless, I did ๐Ÿ˜ท The only times I went out (with the ffp2 mask on) was to go to the supermarket and throw away the trash. That’s it. I just didn’t want to get anybody else infected. It blows ๐Ÿ˜•

The family doctor has given me the green light so I’ll start moving around this weekend and be back in action starting next week (going to classes, restaurantsโ€ฆ) ๐Ÿฅฒ

Turns out starting next week, if they don’t say otherwise you won’t be required to wear a mask indoors ๐Ÿคฏ Meanwhile, ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Japan is denying entry to foreign tourists. I hope they start revising this, I would love to visit after summer. I need a vacation! ๐Ÿ™

Enjoy the Easter break, should you have any days off ๐Ÿฐ

Talk to you soon.
