Week 30 (2019)

Desert landscape

πŸ₯΅ Heat

I was such a fool to think I could keep writing these weekly notes. Honestly, it has been too hot. I get home sweating after work and the only things I think about are shower, fan, and sofa. In that order.

It is currently very hot in Barcelona. It’s the humidity that’s killing us. As soon as you’re done showering you start sweating again. Such a yearly nightmare.

I found this moment after dinner, with the AC on, to write you. It was overdue.

πŸšΆπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ 8000 steps

I said I’m sweating when I get home after work. Well, you know I have been using the bicycle to ride from and to the office every day. Well, now I’ve started walking from the office back home.

Why?!

I still use the bicycle but only on the way down, to work. When I have to use minimal effort and gain so much time. Plus I don’t want to sweat as I go to work.

The reason is I’m trying to get to 8000 steps a day. I feel I have been not moving enough (even though I train more than 4 hours a week). It feels the days I’m not training I’m just sitting. This can’t be good.

So yeah, I now reach or almost reach 8000 steps thanks to walking back home. This also means I get soaking wet in sweat. Although, to be honest, the sweat level is the same as if I go on the bicycle.

I use this time to go back to one of my healthy pleasures: listening to audiobooks. I have now this 40-minute walk to enjoy my books.

πŸ₯‹ Summer break at the school

The training has finished. I’ve sent the students home. We’ll see each other back in September which is good for both students and the Master. We all need a break to recharge our batteries and come back with energy and eager to train.

That’s it for today. Talk to you soon πŸ‘‹
